FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT

As Bafe Certified Fire Risk Assessors we can offer a scheduled investigation of your premises and identify all of the fire risks and hazards present whilst considering the existing Fire Safety measures and controls in place. When complete, Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) offer tenants, building owners, and occupants guidance on the different risk levels that are in a building and the actions that are needed to address these issues. By doing so, business owners/responsible persons will ensure the building is in compliance and there is a reduced risk of further enforcement actions by the regulating authorities.

A fire risk assessment should be carried out on all types of buildings to ensure compliance in England and Wales with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, in Scotland with The Fire Safety Regulations 2006 (Scotland) and in Northern Ireland with The Fire Safety Regulations 2010 (Northern Ireland).

The onus is placed on the responsible person or duty holder for the premises. Whilst awareness of workplace health and safety is increasing, too many organisations are still unaware of their legislative obligations – which is why many turn to a third-party partner such as MHFS to support them in achieving and maintaining compliance.

A FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT COVERS A RANGE OF AREAS INCLUDING:

  • Fire detection and warning system

  • Maintenance and testing of fire safety equipment
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A FIRE RISK ASSESSMENT?
